All four colours can be used as eye shadows as well, but I tend to just use them for my brows. I use the bottom two colours on my brows to make them appear fuller and less sparse. I feel like the powder works brilliantly at filling in any gaps in the hairs and makes them match my hair colour more. They are pretty pigmented, so you have to have a light hand when applying. I like to use the Real Techniques Detailer Brush when defining my brows rather than the little brush that comes with the kit. However, for on the go, this would be fine. The mirror is also of great quality and is great for applying up close, as if you are short sighted like me, this can be pretty hard. Overall, I would recommend the HD Brow Kit.

Lip Addict Tag
Favourite balm/treatment? So simple, but I love the Boots Essentials Rose Lip Balm. It is nourishing and I much prefer it to Vaseline. It is less thick and actually sinks in and makes my lips soft when they are chapped. Most other lip balms just sit there doing not much at all, but this one really works for me.
Best eye-catching red? Kate Moss for Rimmel 107 is definitely my favourite red. Whilst being a darker red, it is definitely eye catching and I feel it suits my skin tone more than a brighter red. It may just be my Lorde influences seeping into my make-up, but I love darker lipsticks. Especially reds.
Best luxury & best drugstore? Being a student, I don't own many luxury brands, but I did receive a Clinique Chubby Stick in Curvy Candy from my sister. It is a coloured lip balm in a soft pink that I didn't think I would like, but it is a lovely subtle colour for a natural make-up day. My favourite drugstore lip products are the Topshop lipsticks. I own three: Beguiled, Innocent and Inhibition. My favourite being Beguiled. It is a lovely deep wine colour with a matte finish. They are extremely good quality and are raved about far and wide.
Best MAC lipstick? I don't currently own a MAC Lipstick... However, I have been lusting over Rebel from MAC. Again a deep purplish colour, not unlike Beguiled from the Topshop range. Lorde's new offering from MAC is also one I would be tempted to try.
The most disappointing? By far, I would say the Maybelline Baby Lips. I have already written a review about these, but I just really do not like it at all. It adds to the chap, rather than actually hydrating the lips to soften them out. I was very excited to try these out, but I am so disappointed.
Liner - yes or no? Liner is not something I wear, but I feel like I should branch out into liner. It would stop any seeping and keep the lipstick lasting for longer. Although, for in a rush, just a quick swipe does me fine.
Best gloss? I haven't owned a gloss in years! They remind me of school discos and a sticky glittery tack stuck to my lips. Not nice!
Something extra! A special shout out to the Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Diva Red. The first lipstick I ever bought and wore until there was almost nothing left. I loved this lipstick so much and might even repurchase it for old times sake.

What Kind of Bird Are You?
What Kind of Bird Are You? by chinacupsandvirginity
This may seem a shock compared to the rest of the looks that I been posting... This one is a lot brighter! This look is based off Suzie Bishop in Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom. That film has a beautiful colour palette and is just so visually pleasing.
This makes me think of warm summer days and running away with my own boy scout. The whole look screams 60s and the blue eyeshadow and light pink lip remind me of a younger self trying out make-up for the first time... I wish I had these gorgeous saddle shoes too. Don't forget your record player and dance on the beach!

The Craft
The Craft by chinacupsandvirginity
The Craft is the film that cemented my love for all things witchy. I found out about it from Rookie Magazine, I believe. I was hooked from the start and wanted to dress and feel all the vibes of being a witch. Black and white is the main colour scheme, but as it was the 90s, long floral maxi skirts are also worn. I decided to keep this look very simple and something I would wear today. A long sheer skirt immediately gives off witchy vibes and paired with Doc Martens recreates the 90s feel of the outfit. I love this kind of leather jacket and the more oversized and worn it looks, the better.

Empire Records
Empire Records by chinacupsandvirginity
I am not entirely sure how I came across the film Empire Records, but for one thing I love the 90s fashion within it. It is about a group of teens who want to save the record shop in which they work from being taken over by a chain of record shops. Damn The Man, Save The Empire.
I particularly liked Liv Tyler's look in this film. It was just pretty simple, but it is something very similar to what people are wearing at the minute. It is pretty feminine, but the boots really toughen up the look. I feel so powerful and confident in my doc martens. When I this outfit, I really do feel like the 90s are back.

Poison Ivy
Poison Ivy by chinacupsandvirginity
This look is inspired by the film Poison Ivy. It starred a young Drew Barrymore and saw her playing a rebellious Lolita in the 90s. I remember seeing so many pictures of this on tumblr and then I watched the film and have loved Drew's look in the film ever since. The wild curly blonde hair billowing over the scruffy leather jacket just looked so crazy. I loved it.
This look is very tough and rebellious with red giving it a seductive edge. The Doc Martens cement the 90s feel and the red crop top makes it a look that could be worn into the spring and summer months. When I watch a film, it is the aesthetics and production design that really lets me know whether I am going to like it or not. I love the rebellious vibes in this one.

April Music Picks
Lorde - Pure Heroine
I talk about Lorde a lot on here and it is because she is one of the only singers that has really captured my interest. Her look is one that is very striking and I absolutely love it. Her album really grated with me at first and I hated it, but after reading all her interviews and hearing she was only 16, I decided to have another listen. I LOVED IT! I don't know what was different this time, but it really clicked with me. Her lyrics are very minimalistic along with her sound, but that is what makes it even more special. I give it a listen to almost twice a day sometimes... I am little obsessed.
My favourite songs are: Glory and Gore, Buzzcut Season, 400 Lux and A World Alone. Although, I do find this entire album flawless.
Lana Del Rey - Born to Die (Paradise Edition)
Another one that took me a while to get into. I haven't always enjoyed Lana's music and passed it over. Yet recently, I just decided to take a listen to her on Spotify and I liked her sound. While I do not agree with the message of some of her lyrics, you can't deny her vast cinematic sound that is just so fulfilling to hear. I like to listen to her on the bus to sixth form and create film scenes that fit along with her music.
My favourite songs are: Diet Mountain Dew, Radio, Ride, American, Gods and Monsters and Summertime Sadness.
Tribes - Baby
They have recently announced their split, but that is what got me listening to them again. I discovered them a few years ago in NME magazine and heard their EP 'We Were Children' and really liked it. Yet, I lost touch with them for reasons I can't remember. I really do like this album though, it feels so full and everyone song reminds me of summer and music festivals. It really saddens me that I have missed seeing them live, although I am not sure who I would gone with.
My favourite songs are: Sappho, Corner of an English Field, Nightdriving and Whenever.
Haim - Days Are Gone
Yet another band that I have only just really gotten into. They are most definitely style icons, but I have only just begun to appreciate their music. Another summery feels album that makes me want to cycle through a tall grassy field. My sister is also a fan and asks us to start a band like Haim all the time... They sound very 80s to me and that isn't a bad thing. Who doesn't enjoy some 80s cheese.
My favourite songs are: If I Could Change Your Mind, Days are Gone and Running if You Call My Name.

Makes My Guts Want To Spill
Makes My Guts Want To Spill by chinacupsandvirginity
I have been listening to the band Tribes a lot recently. Their music has been making me feel nice and summery, it's just a shame about the weather... It has been particularly dreary. Anyway, this kind of rough-cut, tomboyish outfit has been keeping me happy recently. I always feel more confident in darker colours.
Striped tops like this are everywhere and go perfectly with these boyfriend fit jeans. With some heavy doc martens and a baggy biker leather jacket, this look is perfect for feeling badass and unleashing your teenage angst. Red lipstick adds a more feminine touch to this tough look. This is what Tribes makes me think of. Here is their first album Baby to see if you get the same vibes that I do.

Don't Speak
This outfit idea just reminds me so much of warm summer days. The scruffy shorts and the black crop top with the Docs create a tough look that makes me want to parade around LA or something. I have been listening to a lot of No Doubt after watching Romy & Michelle's Highschool Reunion on Netflix and this outfit is just based off the vibes it gave me.

Natural Collection Blush in Peach Melba
Another Christmas gift! The last one though, I promise. This Natural Collection is often discussed online a lot, I think I saw FleurDeForce review it in a drugstore haul video and I decided to try it. It is so cheap that I thought why not, as I have never really faired well with blush in the past. I have looked like a clown many times...
This blush is such a nice colour though and thus fair, I have managed to not look like a clown. It is a beautiful light peach colour that would suit most skin tones. I apply is using the Real Techniques Contour Brush and it applies so lightly and beautifully. The colour payoff is great to say how cheap it is and it looks so natural. If you are looking for a cheap peachy blush, this one is worth looking at.It can be bought here.

March Favourites 2014
Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Mascara - I have been loving this mascara at the minute. It adds so much length and volume, more than any mascara I have tried out; including Benefit's They're Real. The brush is thick with small spikes made from plastic, I really like plastic brushes and this really seems to work.
Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo - My hair is very dry and frizzy, so this shampoo works really well at giving it some life and moisture. I prefer this to the Aussie Frizz Miracle, as it actually reduces more frizz. So, if you have frizzy hair, this may be a good one to try out.
New Look Fluffy Black Cardigan - This link goes to the Tall version, as the smaller version appears to have sold out. This cardigan has had so much wear. I love the fluffy texture which is what makes this cardigan really stand out. It just finishes an outfit off and is so so cosy. I like wearing it with stripey dresses and skirts.
Topshop Mega Boots - Again this link goes to a similar pair, as these shoes are now sold out. I bought these as I have been wanting a pair of chunky boots for a while. They are so comfy and give me some much needed height. They look good with trousers and tights for any occasion.
Mi-Pac Tapestry Backpack - This bag is from ASOS and is currently being used a my bag for sixth form. It has so much space in it and even a laptop pouch with is extremely useful for all the stuff you have to lug around for school... My only nag is that some of the lining is fraying, but the outer layer is so pretty, so I don't mind too much. Nothing a pair of scissors can't handle.

Maybelline Baby Lips Review
I received this lip balm in the Latest in Beauty Glamour Box last Christmas and as much as I have tried to love it, I just can't. The packaging is pretty simple, but quite cheap looking. I can see how it would appeal to my 12 year old self. The lip balm itself is a white stick and leaves no extra sheen on your lips. I was expecting it to hydrate my lips as it is called 'hydrate', however it made my lips even worse than usual and all flaky. I was severely disappointed in this product after hearing all hype around them. The only thing that I like about it is the scent which is tropical. Overall, I would recommend avoiding this product.

Everything is Embarrassing
Motel black dress
I love the look of this black pinafore dress. Especially as it is faux leather, I love the texture and it screams grunge.

Topshop short sleeve shirt
I like the look of graphic tees under dresses and this Nirvana one is perfect.

Dr. Martens slip resistant shoes
Doc Martens are the ultimate shoe to make you feel badass and they suit the harsh looking pinafore dress and contrast the white frill socks.

Rimmel red lipstick

Topshop Mega Cut Out Boots
I recently ordered these beautiful shoes from the Topshop online store. Cut out boots have been the rage for a while now, but I have never found a pair that have really caught my eye. That is, until I saw these. I am very much a Lorde fangirl at the minute and she can be seen sporting clunky footwear (which can be seen in this Vogue article). and chunky shoes just look so great with dresses, so the chunky heel and buckle design really caught my eye. Half Edward Scissorhands and half Lorde, what is there not to love here?
At £38, they don't break the bank and the thick soles will definitely take the wear and tear of life. I also love the fit of these shoes as they don't drown my leg like some boots do, so you can avoid stumpy legs in these. Comfort wise, they are definitely great. The support from the front platform and the strappy design makes for a very solid and supportive shoe. Sizing is also very true and I ordered my usual size four and they fit like a dream. These look great with babydoll dresses, jeans and leggings. Literally anything. They also make me feel like Lorde, which can never be a bad thing. Not yet anyway.
Available to buy from Topshop here.
