Autumnal Nails - Celebrity Bash

Rimmel Salon Pro with Lycra - 391 Celebrity Bash

It's almost October now, so Autumn really is beginning to settle in. Reds, plums, dark greens and blacks are perfect colours for getting into the mood for fall. This dark shiny red is on my nails almost everyday.

Celebrity Bash is a glossy dark red that lasts almost an entire week. I've owned it for a very long time, but repurchased it recently and realised how much I love this colour for fall. Rimmel have had a change of packaging and now I find this nail varnish a little hard to apply with this big round lid, but I am willing to struggle just to have this lovely colour on my nails. Two coats are needed to achieve a deep red that is opaque, but if you prefer it a little lighter, one coat will be enough.

This swatch is made up of two coats like I mentioned earlier. I like to apply a matte top coat sometimes as the shine can appear metallic sometimes, but I really do love the colour and formula of the polish. The difficulty of applying it is the only thing that bugs me a little, but I can deal with that for such a lovely autumnal colour.

Fall/Autumn Wishlist

Fall/Autumn Wishlist

New Look Plaid Skirt
 - I've wanted a tartan skirt for a very long time and this one has come up just at the right time.

American Apparel Hair Bow
-Hair bows just add something a little extra to long hair and black is such a versatile colour.

Jo Malone Cologne in Peony and Blush Suede
-I smelt a sample of this and fell in love, it's such a gorgeous, fresh scent and one that I am hoping to save up for very soon.

Barry M Nail Paint in Raspberry
-It's not Autumn without dark red nails and Raspberry by Barry M seems like the perfect shade.

Two New Products for August

Nivea Lip Butter in Caramel Cream
I always have a habit of buying lip balms and lip butters, but I have been wanting to try this for a while. It is, by far, one of the best lip products I have used in terms of hydration and being comfortable on the lips. It sinks right in and doesn't sit on the lips like Vaseline does, so you really feel the hydration which contributes to lips really looking and feeling softer. I am so tempted to now buy all the flavours!

Maybelline Colour Tattoo Gel Cream Eyeshadow in 35 On and on Bronze
This has been floating around beauty bloggers on the internet and even though I have never really delved into eyeshadow, I thought I should take the plunge and try this creamy eyeshadow. The colour is gorgeous and doesn't smudge at all once applied to the eyelid. I like to apply this just with my finger, blending it out over the crease and applying a little extra for some depth on the outer corners of my eye.

That's all for today, I will try and be back soon with some new products.

So, bye for now. x
